Protagonist Rubin Card, an undead agent of the “Flipside” an alternate universe accessible via occupied graves or through the gory opened torsos of human hosts and not-so-human mutants. Rubin’s mission is to keep peace in the topside “real” world, exterminating cenobite-like creatures who slip through as well as keeping his nemesis, Bey sedated and confined to his own grave.
